DENKSTAHL is AL’s latest art project, part of it has been taking place in urban space since 2016. This book is a photo documentation of Denkstahl Street Art, created between 2016 and 2018, with over 260 images. The artist is on the road with stickers and chalk, he goes out into the street to make a mark. The works enter into a dialogue with their surroundings as well as with other street artists. The written, sprayed or glued sayings and statements bring philosophy to the streets.

Visual poetry or visual philosophy in the sense of DENKSTAHL STREET ART should provide an impulse, an impetus, to stop, to pause for a moment, to question your own way of thinking, to doubt or even to smile. An important aspect of street art is that the artist sees the city as an urban gallery; every passerby is a visitor and experiences art outside the museum – accessible and free for everyone.
